Employees tickled pink at raising £2,000 for charity

Staff at Ewloe-based Anwyl Group took part in ‘Wear it Pink’ day’ to raise more than £2,000 for Breast Cancer Now. Donning pink clothing, PPE and accessories, employees at the company’s headquarters at St David’s Park joined in along with staff at Lancashire regional head office in Chorley, and the sales and construction teams at Anwyl’s sites across North Wales, Cheshire and Lancashire. With each staff member donating at least £1 for the privilege of wearing pink, the company also raised additional funds selling pink cakes. Graham Anwyl, chairman of Anwyl, said:
“So many of us know someone who has been affected by breast cancer and it’s a charity we were all really keen to help. “Wear it Pink Day was a fun way to show our support and raise awareness across our offices and developments. Everyone made a real effort from wearing pink shirts, high vis jackets and hard hats to headbands, pyjamas, and scarves. I’d like to thank all our employees and many of our subcontractors who took part and also give a special mention to our team on site at Rock Ferry who alone raised over £900.”
Breast Cancer Now's ‘Wear it Pink’ day is one of the biggest fundraising events in the UK and took place during October - Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The charity helps anyone affected by breast cancer, providing support and hope for the future. For more information visit https://breastcancernow.org/
