Barton buyers put their trust in Anwyl

PRIDE in a job well done is paying off for Anwyl site manager Ian Tomlinson who’s being rewarded with glowing praise from happy homeowners at Lawrence Gardens in Barton, Lancashire. A dozen Barton buyers have each given Anwyl top marks on review site Trustpilot, with many of them namechecking Ian and assistant site manager Pete Shewan along with members of the sales team. Ian said:
"Trustpilot is a great way to get feedback and we’ve been encouraging customers to leave a review once they’ve moved in. There’s a feel-good factor to knowing that customers are happy with the homes we’ve built. We’ve had people buy homes who’ve said they’ve read the reviews of other Anwyl homeowners and one customer who gave us a fantastic review now has a family member buying on another development.” “I’m proud of my work and of the customer feedback. I showed the NHBC inspectors the reviews when they visited as it’s good to have that external validation.”
Having started out as an apprentice joiner almost 30 years ago, Ian has worked his way up through the ranks and was promoted to site manager last year. Ian overseas an average of 30 people a day working on site at Lawrence Gardens, where Anwyl is building 72 new homes. They include 50 four-bedroom designs for private sale.
“We give customers a 72-hour call after they’ve moved in so that any issues can be dealt with promptly and then check on a weekly basis until they’re happy anything outstanding has been resolved,” Ian explained. “I want to give them a product they can be proud to call their home and an experience they’ll be keen to share with positive reviews. If I’ve done my job properly then I can walk around the development and wave hello to the residents safe in the knowledge they’re happy with their homes.”
Writing on Trustpilot, homeowner Tim Jones described Ian and Pete as “reactive and helpful”, saying they made “the whole experience a real pleasure”. “They are here to answer questions and fix any minor defects you may come across. I would have never expected to receive the level of service that I received from them. They are a credit to the organisation,” Tim added. Shaun Heys said “nothing was too much trouble” for the Anwyl team who were “always smiling and accommodating. He added that “communication was great”, helping them feel “reassured and confident that Anwyl was the right choice”. “Ian and Pete genuinely want to make sure we’re happy in our home and that comes across really well. We’ve made a few official recommendations to family and friends already and they’re now buying an Anwyl property too,” wrote Shaun. Another customer said they’d taken a “leap of faith” which became their “best move” in buying at Lawrence Gardens. Giving credit to Ian and Pete, JP said: “They have a very good working ethos and always respond promptly to any queries. They have made the whole experience a real pleasure. I didn’t really know what to expect from site managers but never expected to receive this high level of service.
