Anwyl Homes has appointed Berit Rose as senior land manager as it looks to grow its land holdings across Cheshire and North Wales. Berit, from Delamere, near Chester, brings nine years of experience to her new role at Anwyl, headquartered at St David’s Park in Ewloe, Flintshire. Having joined Savills as a graduate in 2012, Berit quickly rose through the ranks and was appointed associate director for the development team in 2019, before making the move over to housebuilding when she joined Hillcrest Homes as development director later that year. Although she has a master’s degree in Commercial Property Development, Berit found herself drawn to a career in the residential sector due to her passion for house and interior design and the dynamic nature of the housing market. She said:
I worked in an estate agent whilst at university and really enjoyed the hustle and bustle of the market. I’ve spent my professional career focused on the residential property sector so it was a natural step to move into house building. I’m really pleased to have joined Anwyl Homes, which is a rapidly growing business and a member of the Sunday Times PwC Top Track 250. My role will be focused on acquiring the right sites in the best market locations to aid that continuing growth.
While dealing with land, Berit’s favourite part of her job is "the people," explaining:
Land is a sociable profession and I’ve really enjoyed getting to know my peers, competitors and fellow professionals over the years, many of whom I’m pleased to now call friends.
Outside work, Berit enjoys an active lifestyle including rock climbing and playing squash, tennis and netball. Phil Dolan, managing director for Anwyl Homes Cheshire and North Wales, said:
Berit has excellent experience in the residential property sector and is a positive addition to our land team. With her roots in Cheshire, Berit knows the patch really well and her appointment puts us in a very strong position as we look to acquire more land in our key locations.
