Creating online experiences to rival larger companies is on the agenda for Flintshire-based housebuilder’s new digital marketing manager Creating online experiences to rival much larger companies is on the agenda for a Flintshire-based housebuilder’s new digital marketing manager. Part of the first generation of “digital natives” Laura Jones, from Connah’s Quay, who has a first-class honours degree in multimedia journalism, is one of a large number of young people pursuing careers in the online sphere. After graduating she undertook internships at local media organisations, followed by a role with a luxury travel firm, where she spent four years creating new digital content and marketing campaigns. In 2021 she joined Anwyl Partnerships, overseeing all marketing and community engagement, before successfully applying for the role of digital marketing manager with the Anwyl Homes division – overseeing both its Cheshire and North Wales and Lancashire operating regions. She said:
“This is a great opportunity to help Anwyl Homes build up their digital strategy and online presence. I’ve always been creative and loved being online since I was young. Having grown up in the first generation of ‘digital natives’, I’ve always been fascinated by how quickly it changes, which is why every day is different in digital marketing. “There’s lots to do in 2022 to push us towards being leaders in the housebuilding digital space. I’ll be focusing on developing our website to ensure it provides our customers with the best digital experience; growing our social media with new, forward-thinking content; and continuing to ensure we stand out from the crowd with our family heritage, regardless of whether it’s online or offline. “It’s great to be part of a team – and company – that are willing to try new things. It’s an exciting time to be in digital marketing in property as there are so many new platforms and methods of marketing to get stuck into.”
