INSTAGRAM INSPIRATION AT SPRINGDALE MEADOWS Social media has provided a unique way for young mum Jessica Sandall to share her passion for interior design and love for her new ‘forever home’ home in Hawarden. Recently married and with a three year old son, Jessica and her partner Anthony moved into their four bedroom Abersoch home at Anwyl’s Springdale Meadows development just over one year ago. Since then, she has charted her journey to transform the interior of the house into a beautifully styled family home on the social media platform Instagram gathering a following of 11.5 thousand people along the way. Jessica set up her @homeatoldhallroad account when the couple first reserved the house thinking that it would be a great way to log the house move, gain decorating inspiration for the interior and share photos to record her design and styling projects – never did she think that she would end up with a following of thousands from all around the world.
“We’re over the moon with our new home and I’m so pleased that I set up the Instagram account,” she said, “It’s surreal seeing how much the house has changed over the last 12 months and I get so much decorating and styling inspiration from following other accounts. “I have no idea why so many people follow me, perhaps because our furniture and accessories are reasonable prices and from easily accessible high street stores enabling other people to recreate our looks inexpensively. I always share where things are from and people love a bargain!” she said.
Jessica and her husband who grew up in Hawarden always wanted to move back to the village, and they fell in love with the Abersoch home at first sight. Their first home was a two bedroom new build property in Buckley which suited them initially, but they quickly realised that they needed more space when their little boy came along. Jess continues: “We fell in love with this house as it offered everything that we needed at a price that we could afford in the perfect location. We love the position of the development, tucked away but still at the heart of the village, and it has brought us closer to family for help with childcare. There are great transport links for work too.
“We also love the contemporary layout and flexible living space in the house,” said Jess, “Especially the kitchen dining room which is great for socialising and the lovely big garden and useful utility room, both essential for us with our little boy. I’m so glad that we were able to buy it and look forward to spending the foreseeable future here – it’s definitely our forever home.”

And you’ll rarely see photos of my home office for example – as a trainee teacher, my desk is always piled with paper and planning.
