New homes in Winnington off to a winning start

Four early, “off-plan” sales of new homes in Winnington point to the strength of the housing market in the Northwich area. Four early, “off-plan” sales of new homes in Winnington point to the strength of the housing market in the Northwich area. Launched last month, Winnington Place is the latest development from Anwyl Homes. The homebuilder is transforming part of the former Winnington Business Park site, off Winnington Avenue, where plans for an initial 124 new homes have been given the greenlight. The first release included a mix of three and four-bedroom properties, which were available off-plan. Testament to the successful start, more homes have been released for sale. Reserving a property off-plan, before it’s physically built generally means a buyer can have more input into how it will look inside. Matthew Gould, sales director of Anwyl Homes Lancashire – the company behind the new venture – said: “We’ve had an amazing response to the launch of Winnington Place. The sales team has had a busy few weeks dealing with enquiries from home buyers. “As a result we’ve already taken four reservations in as many weeks and are helping others secure their favourite home whilst it is still available. The development is off to a great start and we expect demand will increase when we open show homes in the summer.” Current prices at Winnington Place start from £224,400 for a three-bedroom semi-detached Bretton. First time buyers could find that they’re able to reduce the initial cost of homeownership as the Bretton is eligible for Help to Buy. The Government-backed scheme provides an opportunity to secure a brand-new home with a 5% deposit and 75% mortgage, with an equity loan covering the remaining 20%. The Bretton features a lounge at the front, with open-plan kitchen/ diner spanning the width of the property to the rear. French doors offer lots of natural light into this sociable space, while also providing direct access to the garden. Upstairs, there are two double bedrooms – one with an en-suite, and a single bedroom, plus the family bathroom. “The standard specification we offer is superb,” Matthew added. “Those who reserve a property before it’s physically built have the chance to select from a range of options to help make it feel like their home from the very start. They can enjoy choosing the finish of the kitchen, the wall and floor tiles in the bathroom and en-suite, and other fixtures and fittings, ensuring it’s all to their own style and taste.” Along with new homes, Winnington Place will include a large amount of open space, landscaped amenity areas and an equipped play area. There will also be pedestrian links to the neighbouring Moss Farm sports complex, home to Northwich Rugby and Cricket Clubs, Cheshire Gymnastics and all-weather football pitches. The homes are being built in a desirable location, between Northwich and Hartford, with a collection of shops, restaurants and cafes within easy reach, along with an excellent choice of schools. There are plenty of opportunities to explore the outdoors in nearby parks and woodlands or by taking a stroll along river banks and towpaths.
