Trio of Site Managers awarded at Anwyl

Anwyl Homes’ Ian Palmer, Steve Parry and Carl Noble have been recognised as some of the North West’s and North Wales’ best site managers. Anwyl Homes’ Ian Palmer, Steve Parry and Carl Noble have been recognised as some of the North West’s and North Wales’ best site managers after scooping top industry prizes. The NHBC Pride in the Job Awards celebrate the exceptional contribution site managers make in creating homes of outstanding quality. Launched just over 40 years ago, the accolade is one of the most highly regarded in the housebuilding industry. This is Ian’s fifth Pride in the Job ‘Quality’ Award and his second for managing The Oaks at Rossbank in Ellesmere Port. Ian, 34 from Birkenhead, says his award is credit to everyone’s hard work on site:
“Each time I win a quality award it just gets better and better. You think that because you won it last year, you don’t need the recognition again but myself and the site teams put so much into building high-quality homes so to get the continued credit just spurs me,” says the dad-of-two.
Steve Parry, 60, has won his first award after working for Anwyl for 37 years, 27 of those as a site manager. He said he was very surprised when he found out he’d won after being nominated several times in the past:
“I can’t take all the recognition as I’ve won this award thanks to everyone on site at Croes Atti. We have some excellent trades working there and the commercial department at Anwyl have also been a huge part of it too, ensuring we have the materials on site so we can complete homes.”
Steve, from Prestatyn works on site at Croes Atti in Oakenholt with assistant site manager Tom Green, and Steve’s son Matthew, who is currently a trainee assistant site manager. He said to have won this award while working on site with his son is a standout career highlight. Carl Noble, 49, has won a Quality Award for his work at Alexandra Gardens in Crewe. This is Carl’s third Pride in the Job award and he also credits the site team and says
“simply put, it’s all about teamwork”. “I couldn’t have got this award if it wasn’t for my team on site at Alexandra Gardens. It’s justification to all the hard work we put into the homes we build.”
Carl, from Audlem, says his main focus at Alexandra Gardens has been to ensure the quality of the homes built are up to Anwyl’s high standards and providing a clean, efficient and safe environment for the site team. Phil Dolan, managing director for Anwyl Homes Cheshire and North Wales, said:
“The standard of construction of our new homes has never been higher. We have invested heavily in build quality, so to achieve three Pride in the Job ‘Quality’ Awards is a huge achievement, so many congratulations once again to Ian, Steve and Carl.”
All ‘Quality’ award winners now go forward to compete for a highly prized NHBC Seal of Excellence this autumn. To find out more about where Anwyl are building visit: www.anwylhomes.co.uk
