November site start planned for new Winnington homes

Reserved matters consent has paved the way for a site start later this year for 250 planned new homes in Winnington, Cheshire RESERVED matters consent has paved the way for a site start later this year by Anwyl Homes on the first of approximately 250 planned new homes in Winnington, Cheshire. The green light has been given by Cheshire West and Chester Council for an initial 124 homes, together with landscaping, public open space, roads and associated infrastructure. Work’s set to start on roads and sewers this November, followed by housing construction. The first properties are expected to go on sale early in 2021 and would-be homeowners are already showing strong interest. John Grime, managing director of Anwyl Homes Lancashire – the company behind the new venture – said: “It’s a great location. Northwich town centre is within easy reach, Greenbank Station is around a 10-minute walk away for services to Manchester and Chester, and there are good road links to the M56 and A556, making it a great base for those who work in Manchester, Warrington or Chester. “Our development will include a large expanse of open space, landscaped amenity areas and an equipped play area, plus we’ll also be providing links to the neighbouring Moss Farm sports complex, which is home to Northwich Rugby and Cricket Clubs, Cheshire Gymnastics and all-weather football pitches.” The first phase of Anwyl’s new Winnington Place development will feature a broad mix of properties for everyone from first time buyers to growing families and downsizers. There will be a choice of two, three and four-bedroom private sale homes, with detached and semi-detached options; plus affordable houses and apartments offering one, two and three-bedroom accommodation. Anwyl has bought two parcels of land at the former Winnington Business Park site, off Winnington Avenue. The new homes will sit alongside FI Real Estate’s planned commercial space, retail units and a family pub/restaurant, with the overall scheme replacing old industrial units and a storage yard. From its base at Buckshaw Village, Chorley, Anwyl Homes Lancashire now owns eight sites for new homes in Fulwood, Longridge and Barton, near Preston, Burscough, in West Lancashire, Liverpool, St Helens and Prescot, in Merseyside, and this latest development. Potential purchasers of the new Winnington homes can register their interest by calling 01606 601995 or see www.anwylhomes.co.uk/winningtonplace for further information.
