A group of boys and girls from St James’ Church of England Primary were invited to leave a lasting legacy at Heathfields, Audlem.
With build well underway and plenty of public open space at Heathfields on Audlem Road, a group of boys and girls from St James’ Church of England Primary were invited to leave a lasting legacy at the development with the burial of a time capsule. Containing a selection of stories, poems and pictures from the seven and eight-year-old pupils, the stainless steel time capsule was carefully buried at Anwyl Homes’ Heathfields development, where it will remain waiting to be discovered in many years to come. With the help of Anwyl’s site manager Carl Noble and homes advisor Michelle Underwood, the Year 3 children placed their work within the time capsule before burying it in the open space in a special ceremony. The Headteacher at St James’ Primary says:
“With the school located just a short walk from Heathfields, the children have watched impressive progress at the Anwyl development, seeing first-hand how houses are built and the creation of a new community. “The children were excited to visit the development and take part in this project, popping their stories, poems and pictures in the time capsule and burying it in the ground for other children to find in years to come.”
