Holmes Chapel also benefits from an excellent modern library which forms a busy community hub, as does Holmes Chapel Community Centre with its popular fitness facilities, coffee shop, spa and meeting spaces.

Holmes Chapel is surrounded by woods, rivers and meadows that make it easy to relax and unwind in beautiful surroundings. The River Dane meanders through the north of the village, offering attractive riverside walks without having to roam far from home. Nearby Dane Meadow is particularly popular with its array of natural wildlife.

Further afield, Holmes Chapel is well located for access to destinations throughout Cheshire and South Manchester. For example, Northwich is within 20 minutes’ drive, Alderley Edge is just over 20 minutes away, and Macclesfield can be reached in around half an hour.

The local nature reserve at Brereton Heath (around 10 minutes by car) is a wonderful place to spend a few hours, with its 50 acres of woodland, heathland, meadows and wetlands attracting a wide range of wildlife. Then there’s Tatton Park, just over 20 minutes away, with its parks, gardens and impressive mansion, and a year-round programme of activities for all ages.
