Crewe itself offers plenty of local amenities including good shopping, entertainment, and food and drink options. Alexandra Gardens is located around a mile to the east of the town centre, making it easy to reach the central area by car or on foot. The centre is home to many familiar brands, with the shops in the Market Centre and Victoria Centre complemented by a range of high street names – from supermarkets to fashion stores – throughout the town. The Grand Junction Retail Park is also easily accessible, being just over a mile from Alexandra Gardens.

Crewe hosts an outdoor market on three days each week, and its historic Market Hall is currently undergoing a £3 million renovation programme, with the aim of transforming it into a vibrant hub for the town. This is due to open in 2020, providing a home for high quality traders and independent eateries.

Because the town offers such easy access to nearby towns and cities, Alexandra Gardens residents can also enjoy all the shopping, business and leisure amenities in places such as Stoke-on-Trent, Chester, and the many attractive locations throughout Cheshire.

Entertainment options in Crewe include the Lyceum Theatre with its lively programme of drama, musicals and comedy, the state-of-the-art Odeon cinema, the Crewe Heritage Centre with its extensive collections relating to the town’s history, and numerous pubs, restaurants and cafes.

Alexandra Gardens is also well placed for access to the beautiful Queens Park, with its Victorian clock tower, waterfall and playground. Crewe Golf Club is just a couple of miles away, and the town hosts local rugby clubs. Crewe is also home to one of the oldest names in professional football, with Crewe Alexandra attracting their passionate fans to their Gresty Road ground throughout the season.
